Choosing Childrens Beds With Storage

As children grow, you may find that you want to change the look of their rooms to better suit their age and interests.  One way to do this is by choosing a new bed for their room.  Most often, parents find themselves purchasing a new bed when children grow out of a smaller toddler bed and are ready to sleep in a twin or larger bed.

A favorite of many parents is childrens beds with storage.  Children often have many toys, clothes, shoes, and other things that can easily clutter a room, so a bed with built in storage provides a place to sleep as well as a spot to store some of those things.  Whether you use a drawer to tuck away pajamas and a bedtime story or as a place to store out of season clothes, storage kids beds are a smart solution for your children’s rooms.

If you have two children that share a room, chances are you have already considered getting bunk beds.  This gives kids a way to talk to each other at night while still maintaining separate sleeping areas.  Children who share a room gain many benefits from being close to a sibling who can calm nightime fears, provide a ready playmate, and serve as a mentor for a younger child.  The biggest battle is usually deciding who sleeps on which bunk.  You can decide yourself for safety reasons, let the children decide, or alternate sleeping arrangements until both children are comfortable.

After you have purchased a new bed, don’t forget to buy new bedding as well.  Simply changing the comforter can instantly change the look of a room and help kids get excited about their “new room”.  If you purchase a bed that will last for many years, you can provide the same “new room” feeling by changing bedding every few years.
